Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is famous for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents split up to move in Los Angeles to live with her mother. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles, she was able to secure her first big performance in the video online series Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to be awarded. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. The show ended in 2005 and Grace was keen to work more prominently in film having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. Her role was reprised for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. In 2013 she appears in the sixth season of Californication. The character she plays is Faith she is a fan and muse of the actors. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career when she was a teenager, playing small parts in a few of the films of her father and starred with her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance in the romantic erotic comedy Secretary (2002) and the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her fame grew when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008), thanks to several successful commercials she appeared in in 2006. In the wake of her performance that was a hit as an unmarried mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she received the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (2012). Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she has also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles were her character as the primary protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
